MOUNTAIN BIKE POKER RUN EVENT

The 12th Annual Mountain Bike Poker Run near Belfair, WA is an event organized by the Single Track Mind Cycling Club. It is geared for riders of all skill levels and abilities, including families with children.  The Poker Run is a non-competitive event in which riders follow a carefully designed and marked mountain bike trail.  There is also a kids course with prizes just for them.  Each rider draws a card in stations throughout the course and the best poker hands win prizes at the finish.  Come for the Fun and Great Riding!

It will be held on Sunday July 23, 2006, with registration from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  The cost is $25.00, or $35.00 for families.  The Poker Run is in the Tahuya State Forest near Belfair, west of Bremerton off Highway 3.  The registration and start/finish area is at the Tahuya River Camp.  Free camping is available at the start.  The experience of riding in the Tahuya Forest is a very special one for anyone who rides a mountain bike.  There are 180 miles of trail in a lush 23,000 acre forest.  The trails cross beautiful streams which are the shelter for several varieties of salmon.

The Poker Run is organized by Single Track Mind Cycling Club which is formed to meet the needs of recreational off road cyclists in the Puget Sound area.  All proceeds benefit trail maintenance and advocacy. The club provides the following:
