November 22, 2002 STM Board Meeting Minutes

Present: Mike Curley, Julia Shozen, Dave Goulet, Rachel McLain, Joe Wetmore, Curt Curtis, Pat Sprouse, Ralph Loewen

The table at the new REI in Tacoma was very successful for STM.  Thanks to all those who organized it and manned the table for the weekend.

Annual Board election to be held at the Christmas Party.  The Dec. newsletter will have a ballot. Rachel will provide a ballot box.

Julia reported on the plans for the Christmas Party at Milton Tavern on Dec. 7. She will bring raffle tickets and the other prizes will be done by names in two other buckets. Other details are the same as reported in the October minutes.

Poker Run location and date will be decided at the next meeting. The options are Tahuya or Tolt Mcdonald.  Mike reports that all Tahuya events are limited to 400 participants, one day events and require 250 hours of trail maintenance. Joe will work with Jim Grill about the possibility of more sponsor participation at Poker Run.

Joe presented the availability of a STM Ski Bus.  He will determine dates, location and cost and get back to us.

It was MVP to have an insert in the newsletter several times to ask members if they want the newsletter on email or hard copy mailed to them.  Dave will tell Aimee and Tony about this.
